The Tractor-Mounted Double Disc Drum Mower is designed to provide efficient, high-speed cutting of grass, hay and forage crops while reducing the time and labour required for large-area mowing operations. The machine uses a double-drum rotary cutting system. Two drums rotate at high speed in opposite directions, allowing the blades to cut vegetation efficiently while directing the cut material into a relatively organised swath behind the machine. This makes the mower particularly suitable for hay and forage harvesting where the cut material will later be collected, dried or baled. Three working-width configurations are available at approximately 1250 mm, 1350 mm and 1650 mm. This allows users to select a mower according to tractor size, field conditions and required productivity. The respective tractor power requirements range from approximately 25 HP up to 60 HP. The mower operates through a standard 540 rpm PTO system, transferring tractor power to the cutting mechanism. The cutting drums rotate at approximately 1620 rpm, providing the high blade speed required for efficient grass and forage cutting. Each machine uses a total of six replaceable blades, manufactured from durable manganese steel and measuring approximately 47 × 100 × 3 mm. The quick-change blade arrangement simplifies routine replacement and maintenance. A three-point linkage provides straightforward attachment to a compatible agricultural tractor. The mower can be raised for turning, transportation or movement between working areas without requiring complicated adjustments. The design is suitable for both lighter grass and heavier forage crops. The high-speed drum system helps minimise wrapping and plugging when working in suitable dense vegetation, making the mower a practical choice for commercial farms, livestock operations and forage-production businesses.
