Description
The Stainless-Steel Gravity Water Filtration System provides a practical way to filter and store drinking water without electricity, plumbing modifications or a pressurised water connection. Its countertop design makes it suitable for homes, offices, accommodation facilities, outdoor activities and emergency-preparedness applications. The system uses gravity to move water from the upper chamber through the installed filter cartridges. Filtered water collects inside the lower stainless-steel reservoir and can be dispensed through the front-mounted tap. Because the system does not require a pump or electrical components, it can continue operating during power interruptions and in locations without convenient electrical access. The reference configuration provides a capacity of approximately 2.9 gallons, equivalent to approximately 11 litres. A smaller 2.25-gallon configuration, equivalent to approximately 8.5 litres, may also be available. The stated capacity should be confirmed as either the upper-chamber loading capacity, lower reservoir capacity or nominal complete-system capacity before publication. Both chambers are manufactured from 304 stainless steel. This construction provides a durable, corrosion-resistant surface suitable for repeated drinking-water contact and routine cleaning. Stainless steel also reduces reliance on large plastic storage vessels and creates a clean appearance suitable for kitchen and office countertops. The system is supplied with replaceable filtration cartridges. Depending on the selected package, filtration may include an activated-carbon cartridge, ultrafiltration media and an additional fluoride-reduction cartridge. The exact number of filters, filtration stages and cartridge combination must be confirmed because different configurations are offered for different water-quality requirements. The primary carbon-based cartridge is designed to reduce chlorine, unpleasant taste, odour, sediment, rust and selected chemical contaminants. Certain certified cartridge configurations are also listed for reducing lead, total PFAS, microplastics and other specified substances under controlled testing conditions. A published PFOA reduction figure of approximately 96.92% is associated with the identified configuration. This percentage should only be used together with the applicable laboratory report, cartridge model, test conditions, influent concentration and certification documentation. It should not be presented as a guaranteed result for every water source. An optional fluoride-reduction cartridge provides an additional adsorption stage for fluoride, arsenic and selected heavy-metal ions. Actual reduction performance and service life depend on the incoming water chemistry, contaminant concentration, pH, temperature and quantity of water processed. The referenced 2.9-gallon configuration is associated with a carbon-filter service capacity of up to approximately 3,000 gallons and a fluoride-filter capacity of up to approximately 1,000 gallons. These are maximum published reference capacities rather than guaranteed replacement intervals. Filters may require earlier replacement where water contains high levels of sediment, chlorine, dissolved contaminants or other substances. Water flow is generated entirely by gravity and will therefore be slower than a pressurised filtration system. Flow rate can change according to the number of cartridges installed, filter condition, water temperature, upper-chamber level and concentration of contaminants in the incoming water. A reduced flow rate may indicate that cleaning, priming or cartridge replacement is required. The stainless-steel dispensing tap provides controlled access to the filtered water stored in the lower chamber. A raised stand creates clearance beneath the tap, allowing cups, bottles and small containers to be positioned conveniently for filling. Tap washers and fastening components must be installed correctly to prevent leakage. The reference system measures approximately 305 × 305 × 445 mm and weighs approximately 3.79 kg before water is added. Once filled, the operating weight will be considerably higher. The unit must therefore be placed on a stable, level surface capable of supporting the complete filled system. Assembly generally involves connecting the upper and lower chambers, installing the cartridges, fitting the sealing washers, attaching the tap and positioning the unit on its stand. Filter cartridges must be prepared, rinsed or primed according to their individual instructions before the first drinking-water batch is processed. The upper chamber, lower reservoir, lid, tap and accessible fittings should be cleaned before first use and at appropriate intervals thereafter. Abrasive cleaning tools and aggressive chemicals should be avoided because they may scratch or damage the stainless-steel surfaces, seals and filtration components. Replacement cartridges must match the system and intended filtration requirements. Installing unverified or incompatible cartridges may affect flow, sealing and contaminant-reduction performance. Customers should be given clear cartridge model information and replacement instructions when purchasing the system. This product is a water-filtration system rather than a desalination or reverse-osmosis unit. It does not remove all dissolved salts and should not be advertised as reducing total dissolved solids unless a verified cartridge-specific test confirms that function. It also does not produce wastewater or require a drain connection. The system should not automatically be represented as making any untreated or microbiologically unsafe water suitable for drinking. Water from rivers, dams, boreholes, rainwater tanks or other uncontrolled sources must be tested and treated according to the identified contamination risks. Where bacteria, viruses or other pathogens may be present, an appropriate validated disinfection or purification process may also be required. With its electricity-free operation, stainless-steel chambers, replaceable filtration media and approximately 11-litre reference capacity, this gravity-fed system offers a convenient drinking-water solution for everyday use and temporary situations where conventional powered filtration is unavailable.
