The Hydraulic Power Silage Grab is designed to simplify the handling of silage and forage on livestock farms, feedlots and agricultural operations. The attachment mounts to a compatible tractor front loader or agricultural loader and combines a lower tine frame with a hydraulically controlled upper grab. During operation, the hydraulic grab closes in a curved motion, forcing the upper tines into the silage while simultaneously clamping the material against the lower frame. This action allows dense pit silage to be separated, securely held and transported with reduced material loss. The attachment requires a third hydraulic control circuit on the tractor or loader to operate the opening and closing function of the upper grab. A major advantage of the design is its removable tine construction. Individual tines are fitted into tapered mounting sleeves so that damaged or worn components can be removed and replaced without replacing the complete attachment. All versions use approximately 810 mm spears, providing substantial penetration into silage and other agricultural materials. Depending on the selected width, attachment weight ranges from approximately 250 kg to 370 kg. The smallest version incorporates 8 lower / 5 upper tines, while the largest 2,600 mm version incorporates 14 lower / 11 upper tines. The spacing between the tines is designed to minimise loss of material while lifting and transferring silage. The attachment is primarily intended for pit silage handling, but it can also be used with compatible forage, hay, crop residue and similar loose agricultural materials. Its combination of hydraulic clamping, multiple available widths, replaceable tines and heavy-duty construction makes it suitable for commercial livestock farms and regular feed-handling operations.
