Description
The Commercial Rice and Corn Puff Snack Extruder provides an efficient solution for small businesses, snack producers, commercial kitchens and product-development facilities seeking to manufacture freshly extruded grain snacks. Its compact configuration combines ingredient feeding, compression, heating, extrusion and product shaping within one electrically powered machine. Prepared grain material is introduced through the upper feed hopper and transported through the extrusion chamber by the machine’s internal rotating mechanism. Pressure and heat develop as the material moves through the chamber. When the processed mixture exits through the installed forming die, the sudden pressure change causes the product to expand and form a light, puffed snack structure. The identified TDP-10 configuration has a nominal production capacity of approximately 15–25 kg per hour. Actual throughput will depend on the grain formulation, particle size, moisture content, feed consistency, installed die, required expansion level and operator technique. Production trials should be completed before establishing commercial output figures for a particular recipe. A rated electrical input of 4 kW provides the energy required for the machine’s drive and electric processing system. The reference configuration operates from a 220 V electrical supply. Electrical frequency, plug arrangement and circuit requirements must be confirmed before installation, particularly where the equipment will be used continuously. The machine’s listed operating speed is approximately 500–600 revolutions per minute. This high-speed processing action supports continuous compression and extrusion of compatible grain mixtures. Operators should never place hands, tools or loose objects inside the hopper, drive assembly or discharge area while the machine is connected to power. Product shape is determined by the forming die installed at the outlet. Compatible dies may allow operators to produce different puffed snack profiles, subject to the machine configuration and availability of suitable accessories. The quantity, dimensions and shapes of the dies supplied with the machine must be confirmed in the approved order specification. The equipment is primarily intended for compatible milled or granular grain formulations. Potential raw materials include corn meal, rice flour and selected blended cereal formulations. Ingredients containing excessive moisture, large hard particles, stones or unsuitable fibrous material should not be introduced into the machine. Stainless-steel construction provides a durable commercial exterior and accessible food-contact surfaces. It also supports routine cleaning between production batches. The extrusion chamber, die and other removable food-contact components should be cleaned after the equipment has cooled and been disconnected from the electrical supply. With external dimensions of approximately 430 × 300 × 320 mm and a listed machine weight of approximately 22 kg, the extruder is compact enough for installation in smaller production areas. Its portable format also allows it to be repositioned when necessary, although it should always be operated on a strong, stable and level work surface. This machine produces an unseasoned extruded snack base. Depending on the required finished product, additional drying, baking, frying, flavouring, cooling or packaging equipment may be necessary. These downstream processes are not automatically included with the extruder and should be selected according to the intended recipe and production method. For dependable results, operators should standardise raw-material preparation, moisture addition, feed rate and die selection. Changes in any of these factors may affect expansion, colour, texture, product density and hourly output. Initial recipe testing is therefore recommended before beginning full commercial production.
