Description

The Automatic Commercial Chilli Powder Crushing and Milling Machine provides an efficient solution for converting dried red chillies into uniform powder for commercial food and spice production. The machine is designed for processors requiring greater output and consistency than small batch grinders can provide. Its powered milling chamber, replaceable screens and optional product-transfer equipment allow it to operate as a stand-alone grinder or as part of a more comprehensive chilli powder processing line. Before grinding, harvested chillies must be properly prepared. Raw material should be cleaned to remove stones, dust, metal fragments, stalks and other foreign matter. The chillies should also be dried to a suitable moisture level because excessive moisture can cause poor grinding, screen blockage, powder accumulation and reduced production efficiency. Prepared dried chillies are introduced through the feeding inlet. Depending on the selected setup, feeding can be completed manually or by a controlled screw, belt or vibrating feeder. A regulated feed rate helps prevent overloading and supports a more consistent finished powder. Inside the milling chamber, high-speed rotating components create impact, shearing and frictional forces. These forces break the dried chillies into progressively smaller particles. Material remains in the chamber until it is fine enough to pass through the fitted screen. Powder fineness is controlled mainly by the aperture of the installed screen. A screen with larger openings produces a coarser output, while a finer screen produces smaller particles. Actual output will vary according to screen size, chilli moisture, feed rate, chilli variety and the required degree of fineness. The machine is powered by a 30 kW electric motor, supporting demanding commercial processing applications. The motor and electrical control equipment must be matched to the power supply available at the installation site. Supply configurations of 220 V or 380 V may be available, subject to technical confirmation. Food-contact components are manufactured from or lined with food-grade stainless steel, depending on the selected configuration. Stainless steel offers good corrosion resistance, smooth processing surfaces and easier cleaning for food-production environments. A cyclone collection system may be fitted to separate ground powder from the conveying airflow. This enables the product to be collected more efficiently while reducing the amount of fine material released around the discharge area. An optional dust-collection system can capture fine airborne particles produced during grinding and transfer. Dust management is particularly important when processing chillies because airborne powder can irritate the eyes, skin and respiratory system. Where greater finished-product uniformity is required, a vibrating sieve can be installed after grinding. The sieve separates particles that meet the required specification from oversized material. Oversized particles can be returned to the grinding system for further processing. The milling process generates heat through friction. Excessive temperature can affect product colour, aroma, flavour and volatile compounds. Feed rate, screen size, airflow and operating time should therefore be managed carefully. An optional cooling arrangement may be required for temperature-sensitive products or extended operating periods. Although primarily intended for dried chilli, the machine may also process compatible dry spices such as black pepper, coriander, cumin, turmeric, cinnamon and selected dried herbs. Suitability must be confirmed because ingredients with high oil, moisture or fibre content may require a different milling configuration. The machine can be used as the main grinding unit in a chilli powder production line. A more complete line may include raw-material sorting, cleaning, destalking, seed separation, drying, coarse crushing, fine milling, sieving, dust collection, blending and packaging equipment. The final production configuration should be based on the required capacity, raw-material condition, powder fineness, packaging format and applicable food-processing standards.
