Description

The DCS automatic chicken feed pellet packing machine is a commercial weighing and bag-filling system developed for feed mills, pellet-processing plants, agricultural operations and bulk-material packaging facilities. It is designed to measure predetermined quantities of finished pellets and discharge them into open-mouth bags with consistent weight accuracy. Material enters the machine from an overhead storage hopper, silo or compatible conveyor. The feeding mechanism transfers the product into the weighing hopper, where load cells continuously monitor the accumulated weight. The controller manages the feeding cycle using fast and slow feeding stages, reducing the material flow as the target weight is approached. This staged process helps improve accuracy while maintaining a practical packaging speed. Once the programmed weight has been reached, the operator positions an empty bag under the discharge outlet and activates the bag clamp. The measured product is then released into the bag. Depending on the selected configuration, the filled bag can be discharged onto a conveyor and transferred to a sewing unit for closure. The machine is particularly suited to chicken feed pellets and other products with good flow characteristics. It can also handle livestock feed pellets, grain, seeds, fertiliser granules, biomass pellets and selected dry granular materials. The feeding system must be correctly selected for the intended product. Gravity or belt feeding is generally recommended for pellets and granules, while fine powders may require a screw-feeding configuration. Although described as automatic, the standard system is generally semi-automatic in terms of bag handling. Weighing, dosing and filling are automated, but an operator normally places each empty bag onto the filling outlet. Automatic bag placement and robotic palletising require additional equipment.
