Description

The Automatic 5–50 kg Grain Weighing and Bagging Machine is designed to improve the speed, accuracy and consistency of bulk granular product packaging. It replaces repetitive manual weighing and filling with an electronically controlled process that measures each batch before discharging it into a bag. Bulk material is supplied to the machine through an upper storage hopper. The product then moves through the feeding mechanism toward the weighing hopper. Depending on the selected configuration, feeding may be controlled by gravity, vibration or a combination of fast and slow feeding stages. At the beginning of each cycle, the system allows material to flow rapidly into the weighing hopper. As the target weight approaches, the controller reduces the feeding rate. This staged feeding method helps the machine reach the required weight without excessive overfilling. The electronic weighing system uses load cells to continuously measure the product inside the weighing hopper. Once the programmed target is reached, the inlet closes and the measured product is discharged into the bag. The operator positions an empty bag beneath the filling outlet and activates the bag-clamping mechanism. Pneumatic clamps secure the bag around the outlet during filling, helping reduce movement, material loss and dust escape. After filling, the bag is released onto a supporting platform or conveyor. It can then be moved to a sewing, heat-sealing or closing station. The correct closing method depends on whether the operation uses woven bags, plastic bags, laminated sacks or paper bags. The machine accommodates several filling weights within an approximate range of 5–50 kg. Different target weights can be entered through the control panel without changing the complete machine, provided the product characteristics and bag dimensions remain suitable. A production rate of approximately 300–400 bags per hour is listed for the machine. Actual output will depend on the selected bag weight, product density, product flowability, hopper supply, operator efficiency, bag handling and closing method. Heavier packages may require longer filling and handling times. The machine is primarily designed for free-flowing granules. Typical materials include rice, maize, wheat, beans, lentils, peas, seeds, peanuts, animal-feed pellets and plastic granules. Products that are very fine, dusty, sticky, wet or irregular may require a specialised feeding mechanism. Powders such as flour, cement or fine spices should not be assumed compatible with a standard gravity-fed grain bagger unless the feeding and dust-control systems are specifically configured for them. The pneumatic operating system controls functions such as bag clamping and discharge-gate movement. A suitable compressed-air supply must therefore be available at the installation site. Air pressure and consumption should be confirmed for the final machine configuration. The electronic controller allows the target weight and relevant operating parameters to be adjusted. Where fitted, batch counting and production-total functions can help operators monitor the number of bags filled during each shift. The machine can be installed beneath a storage silo, surge hopper, bucket elevator or screw conveyor. Maintaining a stable supply of material above the weighing system helps improve filling continuity and reduces delays between cycles. For a more automated line, the bagging machine can be connected to an empty-bag feeding system, conveyor, bag-closing machine, metal detector, checkweigher and palletising equipment. These supporting systems are optional unless expressly included in the quotation.
